1981 Tiara Yachts 31 Open

This very well maintained 31 Tiara is powered by twin Yanmar diesels. Her major renovation has been a work in progress which started by replacing the main engines with Yanmar 4LH-STE one of the most desirable of the Yanmar products producing 230 HP with 968 originals. The vessel is owned by a certified Yanmar Diesel mechanic and has had the very best of care throughout her service life to this point. Recently the original generator was removed and replaced with a 2019 Kohler 6kW freshwater cooled generator with a full manufacturer’s 2 year warranty. Numerous updates to filters and pumps. Very little of the original 1981 boat other than the deck and hull remains. Built to last and refit to give years of further service and enjoyment.

Vessel Walk Through

Standard Tiara layout. Forward cabin with starboard side double berth, port side vanity and hanging locker. Storage shelves wrap around the cabin. Overhead fore deck hatch for light and ventilation. Main salon has U-shapped convertable dinette that will sleep 2. Loads of built in storage both behind and below the dinette. Aft is a hanging locker and more storage together with color TV. Port side galley with sink, microwave oven and 110V/12VDC refrigerator. The head is aft with shower. Raritan electric head and factory cabinetry. Decor is original teak cabinetry, teak and holley cabin sole with off white upholstered settee. Cockpit features an entirely flat deck ideal for recreation.

Powered by a pair of Yanmar 4LH Turbo Diesels with only 965 hours total time. She will cruise at an economical 27 and top out 31. All services complete. Her owner is a certified Yanmar Mechanic. Just installed is 2019 Kohler 6kW Generator with a 2 Year Fully Transferrable Manufacturer Warranty. Also new is the domestic fresh water system and water heater. The Ocean Breeze 16K BTU Reverse Cycle air conditioning system was completely refurbished four (4) years ago.

Electrical System

Kohler 6kW installed 2019 with less than 5 hrs & Aux fuel filter. Solid state 20 amp battery charger. Generator carries a full manufacturer 2 year warranty. 110V/ 12V
